GoodHabitz and PSV introduce De Frederik as a tribute to talent
Together with PSV, we proudly announce the launch of a unique memento for youth players making their official debut in the first team: De Frederik. This tribute, unveiled before the 2024-2025 season, symbolises both the commitment to developing talent and the successful collaboration between PSV and GoodHabitz.
Frederik Philips, the founder of Koninklijke Philips, is synonymous with the rich history of both Eindhoven and PSV. With the launch of De Frederik, GoodHabitz aims to honour Frederik Philips' historical contributions and spotlight the new generation of talent. This award will be presented to players who make their official debut in the first team from PSV Academy, in recognition of their hard work and as encouragement for their continued development.
PSV has a long tradition of developing talent from PSV Academy. Players like Ibrahim Afellay, Memphis Depay, and more recent stars such as Johan Bakayoko and Cody Gakpo began their careers in PSV’s youth academy and later made their debut for the first team. The launch of De Frederik acknowledges this tradition and rewards players taking their first steps into the first team.
